Principles of Agreement
For the Ontario Hoof TrimmersGuild
(Adopted June 17th, 2006, by the Charter Members)
Be it recognized by the charter members of the Ontario Hoof Trimmers
Guild that the following principles of agreement be acted on;
That the charter members agree to examine strategies for reliable communication amongst the participating hoof trimmers in this organization.
That the charter members agree to communicate the creation of this body to industry partners in Ontario and other interested parties.
That the charter members agree to establish hoof trimmer conferences once per year and encourage other established or new hoof trimmers to consider attending.
That the charter members agree to examine standardizing diagnosis and record keeping of foot problems in their customers herds
That the charter members agree to keep animal well being in mind when handling livestock
That the charter members agree to examine ideas and issues relating to their safety and welfare.
That the charter members agree that advancing professionalism in all aspects of the industry of hoof trimming is to be exemplified
That the charter members agree to respect different technologies that achieve positive results in customer and animal satisfaction and, that no member shall negatively reflect in advertising, any technique or technology that has a proven track record of success.
That the charter members agree the Ontario Hoof Trimmers Guild shall be non-profit with any excess monies be carried over in the account for use in funding the next conference
That the charter members agree to alternate locations in the Province on Ontario (western and eastern) using Highway 400 as a boundary line.
That the charter members agree allow the creation of certificates for validation of attendance at conference topics.
That the charter members agree to keep open minds.
