Hoof trimming is an essential part of preventing, reducing and alleviating pain of the animal to help promote its' well being. With that in mind the following links help recognize the available research, regulations, codes and laws that prove animal welfare can be achieved with common sense and sound purpose.
Good hoof trimming requires a conscious effort to ensure an animal's safe entry and exit from the trim chute and surrounding area, plus, confidence of the trimmer's knowledge about their equipment and how to correctly use said equipment. Achieving animals being calm entering and leaving the chute and surrounding area is worthy of the highest respect.
