Worn out Tie Stall Mats. For dairy cows the stall mat had a great impact on cow comfort, but only when they stay in shape. Over time(in this case 8 years) the mats have become severly out of shape. This negatively impacts foot structure and stresses the leg muscles of the cow, causing incorrect hoof growth, being susceptible to dermatitis, heel cracks and mastitis as the stall gets too dirty. Take time to replace with new mats and make your cows comfortable again. back to issues
